I wasn’t there in the early coffee house days of the likes of John Prine or Guy Clark but I did recently stumble across Abe Partridge and felt the same excitement of discovering a true American original. Rough hewn out of the earthy heart and soul of the South his songs are incisive, funny/sad and best of all, despite the greats I’ve mentioned beyond comparison, remain unique to just him.”

Abe had a record breaking crowd at his last show in his home town of Mobile, AL. The Listening Room of Mobile was packed! The capacity was overflowing with standing room only. The room was filled with people and an electricity was in the air. A live color show (Jefferson Airplane style) danced on the wall behind the bands. An "old school" light projector and alcohol inks were used. It was run by Abe's good friend Justin Gibson. It was a magical night. The show was delivered in a "three course meal". First, the beautiful and mesmerizing sounds of Della Memoria. Emily Smith's voice hypnotized you in a dream while her husband Josh Smith accompanied her on the bass guitar. Second, Abe took the stage with Della Memoria. They were Abe's backing band while he sang a few of his original songs. Abe, Emily, and Josh ended with "Something to Prove" an original song written by Emily Smith. The crowd went wild! Della Memoria left and Abe sang a few new songs he had recently wrote. Finally, the moment everyone was waiting for... Abe took the stage with his original rock-n-roll/punk band, The Psychedelic Peacocks. The members consisted of Dave Garrett (lead guitar), John W Hall (drums), Andrew Bishop (bass guitar), and Abe Partridge (vocals, rhythm guitar). They sang 6 original songs written by Abe and then they closed with Mississippi Fred McDowell's "When I Lay My Burden Down". WOW! What a night!

Abe partners with Sing Me A Story and writes a song for Ariella

The Sing Me A Story Foundation reached out to me on my last tour. They work with songwriters to create songs for children who are suffering. I wrote this song after reading the story of a little girl named AriellaCourtney Blackwell and I performed this upstairs at the Southgate House Revival in Newport, KY.
All proceeds from the song will go to the Urea Cycle Disorder Foundation.
Please consider donating for Ariella's sake.

The Mary C. O'Keefe was good to me

Abe had a successful show in Ocean Springs, MS. On Thursday, July 19, 2018, Abe played to a full and respectful listening audience.

Photographer Stephen "Andy" Anderson of The Southland Music Line was present and took some excellent shots of the show.

All pictures of the show can be seen here on The Southland Music Line's website http://www.thesouthlandmusicline.com/photos-and-music-art/photos/abe-partridge-at-the-mary-c-okeefe-cultural-center-in-ocean-springs-ms-thur-july-19-2018/

I heard Lucinda Williams say in an interview that every artist that really wants it, gets it. I want it like nothing else.
Thanks to my wife, Catherine Elizabeth Partridge, who keeps the home fires burning while I am away, keeping children, answering emails, promoting my shows, etc......
Thanks to Chad Edwards, Michelle Roche, Karen Payne-McKenzie, Anna Kline, John M Looney, Tyrus Mullins, and Tony Harrah for opening yr homes to us. You guys are the best!
Thanks to every venue that hosted us!
